Getting Started
S4 Launchpad runs on Base, and every token it launches trades on Alien Base. You need a wallet on Base and some ETH on Base.
- 1Set up a wallet that supports Base.Any Ethereum wallet that can switch networks works. Keep your seed phrase offline. S4 Labs never asks for it.
- 2Get ETH on Base.Bridge ETH to Base from Ethereum or another network, or withdraw ETH from an exchange straight to Base. You pay gas in ETH on Base, and launches, pledges and buys are paid in ETH.
- 3Connect and sign in.Press Connect Wallet. Sign-in uses Sign-In with Ethereum: you sign a readable message, not a transaction, and it costs nothing.
- 4Pick what you want to do.Launch a token, browse launches, burn ALB to boost or open an escrow.
Network Details
| Setting | Value |

| Chain ID | 8453 |
| Public RPC | https://mainnet.base.org |
| Currency | ETH |

What You Need for Each Action
| Action | You need |
|---|---|
| Instant Pool launch | Launch fee (0.02 ETHdefault) plus the ETH you put in the pool (at least 0.1 ETHdefault), plus an optional first buy and gas. |
| Rocket Curve launch | Create fee (0.001 ETHdefault) and gas. No ETH seed. |
| Mothership Drop | Gas to schedule it. There is no create fee for drops. |
| Buying or pledging | The ETH you want to spend, plus gas. |
| Burn to Boost | At least 1,000 ALBdefault and gas. |
| Escrow | The full deal total in USDC, ETH or WETH, plus gas. |
Gas on Base is usually a few cents per action. A launch costs more gas than a trade because it deploys a token and creates a pool.
Launch Modes
Three ways to launch. All of them create a fixed-supply token and end with a real Alien Base pool whose liquidity is locked or burned.
| Instant Pool | Rocket Curve | Mothership Drop | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Creators who bring ETH | Creators with no ETH to seed | Communities that launch together |
| Trades on Alien Base | From the launch block | After the curve raises its target | After the drop finalizes |
| Starting price | Set by the ETH and tokens you seed | Set by the curve | One price for every pledger |
| Liquidity | Locked or burned, your choice | Burned at graduation | Locked or burned, your choice |
| If it does not take off | Pool stays open | Holders can always sell back to the curve | Every pledge is refunded |
Defaults
Numbers tagged default are contract defaults. They may change before mainnet. The create flow always shows the live values from the contract before you sign.

Instant Pool
Deploying soonYour ETH opens a real Alien Base pool, so trading starts in the first block.
- Step 1
You add ETH and pick a lock
- Step 2
One transaction deploys the token and opens the pool
- Step 3
Anyone trades on alienbase.xyz from block one
- You bring
- 0.1 ETH or more
- S4 fee
- 0.02 ETH once
- Liquidity
- Locked 30 days to 1 year, or burned
- Snipers
- Wallets capped at 0.5% per block at first
Good for: Creators with ETH who want a liquid market right away.
Instant Pool
One transaction deploys your token, opens an Alien Base pool with your ETH, locks or burns the LP and, if you want, makes your first buy. There is no bonding curve and nothing to graduate from.
- 1Describe the token.Name (up to 64 bytes), ticker (up to 16 bytes), image and links.
- 2Seed the pool.Choose how much ETH goes into the pool (at least 0.1 ETHdefault). The whole supply, minus any creator allocation, goes in beside it.
- 3Choose the lock.Lock the LP for 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, 1 year, Burn forever. Burning makes the liquidity permanent.
- 4Set the extras.Creator allocation up to 5% of supply, sent to you unlocked. An optional first buy, which runs before the anti-sniper window opens. Anti-sniper window length (default 10 blocks).
- 5Sign once.Your wallet shows the total: launch fee, pool ETH and first buy. The token trades on alienbase.xyz from that block.
Launch fee: 0.02 ETHdefault, capped by the contract at 0.05 ETH. You also set a maximum fee when you sign, so a fee change can never surprise a pending launch. If any check fails, the whole launch reverts and nothing is left half done.
Rocket Curve
Launch with no ETH seed. Buyers fill a short bonding curve on S4. When the curve raises its target (4 ETHdefault), the same buy that reaches the target opens the Alien Base pool and burns the LP. No admin step and no second transaction.
- 1Create.Pay the create fee and gas. You can add a first buy in the same transaction.
- 2The curve fills.80% of supply is sold on the curve and 20% is held back for the pool. The price rises as people buy and falls as they sell.
- 3Graduation.The buy that reaches the target is trimmed to land exactly on it, and any extra ETH is refunded. The pool opens at the last curve price and its LP is burned forever.
- 4Trade on Alien Base. After graduation the curve closes and the token trades only on Alien Base.
- At the 4 ETH default, the curve starts at a fully diluted value of 1.25 ETH and ends at 20 ETH, a 16x run.
- Before graduation, holders can always sell back into the curve, so ETH is never stuck. If the target is never reached, the curve stays open.
- Tokens cannot be sent to their Alien Base pair before graduation, so nobody can open the pool early.
- Fees: create 0.001 ETHdefault, 1% on curve buys and sellsdefault, and 2.5% of the raise at graduationdefault. Contract caps: 0.01 ETH, 2% and 5%.
Mothership Drop
A scheduled launch where everyone pays the same price. Pledges open first, nobody can buy early, and at the end the pool opens at the pledge price. If the minimum raise is missed, every pledge is refunded in full.
- 1Schedule the drop.Set the minimum and maximum raise (minimum at least 0.1 ETH), the priority window (None, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours) and the public window (1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days).
- 2Priority window.Wallets holding at least 1,000default of the configured ALB token pledge first. The plan at deployment is to count esALB and govALB, which cannot be borrowed.
- 3Public window.Anyone pledges ETH. Each wallet is capped at 5% of the maximum raisedefault, and anything above the cap is refunded in the same transaction. Pledges cannot be withdrawn before the drop finalizes.
- 4Finalize.Anyone can finalize once the public window ends. If the minimum was met, the pool opens and the LP is locked. If not, the drop is marked failed and the whole supply is burned.
- 5Claim or refund.Pledgers claim tokens at the shared price, or claim a full refund if the drop failed.
Split on success (defaults): a 1% fee comes off the raise, 80% of the rest goes into the pool and the creator receives the remaining ETH. Pledgers receive 50% of supply, the creator can take up to 5%, and unused supply is burned. LP is locked for 180 days by default (at least 30, or burned) and the anti-sniper window runs for 10 blocks. The drop fee is capped at 3% and is fixed for each drop when it is created.
Worked Example: A 10 ETH Drop
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Total pledged | 10 ETH |
| Fee (1%) | 0.1 ETH |
| Into the pool (80% of 9.9 ETH) | 7.92 ETH and 396M tokens |
| To the creator | 1.98 ETH and 20M tokens (2%) |
| To pledgers | 500M tokens at 0.00000002 ETH each |
| Burned | 84M tokens |
The pool opens at the same price pledgers paid, so nobody who pledged starts behind the market.
More Modes Planned
On the roadmap, not built yet: ALB-paired launches (the pool pairs with ALB instead of ETH), Vault launches (LP goes into an Alien Base vault), Dutch auctions, agent launches, community takeovers of abandoned coins, and holder rewards paid from pool fees.
Tokenomics
Every S4 token uses the same simple rules, so there is nothing hidden to check token by token.
Fixed 1 Billion Supply
Transfer Tax: None
No Owner Powers
Real Liquidity
Where the Supply Goes
| Mode | Split |
|---|---|
| Instant Pool | Up to 5% to the creator, unlocked. Everything else goes into the pool. |
| Rocket Curve | 80% sold on the curve. At graduation the pool gets enough of the 20% reserve to open at the last curve price, and the rest is burned. |
| Mothership Drop | 50% to pledgers, up to 5% to the creator, the pool share at the pledge price, and the rest burned. |
Liquidity Locks and Burns
- Lock choices: 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, 1 year, Burn forever. The minimum lock is 30 days and the create flow suggests 180 days.
- Burned LP is sent to the dead address. That liquidity can never be removed.
- A lock can be extended or handed to another wallet (for example a multisig), but never shortened. Nobody, including S4 Labs, can withdraw it early.
- Pool fees build up inside the LP tokens. The lock owner collects them on withdrawal, minus the Alien Base protocol share. Burned LP gives up its fees forever.
- Rocket Curve LP is always burned at graduation.
Anti-Sniper Window
For the first blocks after a pool opens, each address can receive at most 0.5% of supply from the pool per block. A bigger buy reverts. Nothing is skimmed, so it is not a fee. The window lasts up to 30 blocks (about 60 seconds) and the create flow uses 10 blocks by default.
- Wallet to wallet transfers are never limited.
- The creator first buy on Instant Pool runs before the window opens.
- The cap is per address, so it slows bots that spread buys over many wallets but cannot stop them.
- Some aggregator buys may fail during the window because the router receives the tokens first. Direct Alien Base buys are not affected.
- Rocket Curve tokens have no window after graduation, since the curve already set the price.
Planned: Creator Rewards
A later phase pays creators from pool fees, never from a transfer tax, with the creator share stepping down as market cap grows. It is not live and needs Alien Base sign-off.
Trading on Alien Base
Every S4 token trades on Alien Base, with the wallet you already use.
- Instant Pool tokens trade on Alien Base from the launch block.
- Rocket Curve tokens trade on the S4 curve until graduation, then only on Alien Base.
- Mothership Drop tokens trade on Alien Base once the drop finalizes.
- Traders pay the Alien Base pool fee, paid to liquidity providers. S4 adds no fee to pool trades.
- Set a maximum slippage before you trade. Your wallet shows the minimum you will receive.
The Token Page
- Price chart, market cap, liquidity reserves and your balance.
- The locked or burned LP and, for a lock, its unlock date.
- Transfer tax, which is always None.
- For Rocket Curve tokens: progress toward the graduation target.
- Buy and sell, plus the Epsilon order panel.
Numbers marked demo data are examples, not live trades.
Epsilon Orders
Coming once Alien Base's API is live
The order panel previews these orders today. Placing them switches on once Epsilon, the Alien Base order engine, opens its API on Base.
| Order | What it does |
|---|---|
| Limit | Buys when the price falls to your target, or sells when it climbs to it. |
| Stop | Sells if the price falls to your stop. |
| DCA | Splits a buy into equal slices over time. |
| Trailing | Follows the price up and sells if it drops by your trail distance. |
ALB on S4
S4 is built for the Alien Base ecosystem. Three mechanics tie launches to ALB.
The S4 ALB contracts are deploying soon. Until then the ALB page shows demo data. Every number below is a default and may change before mainnet.
Burn to Boost
Anyone can burn ALB to push a token up the Trending board. The burn is permanent and lowers ALB supply.
- Minimum boost: 1,000 ALB.
- A score halves every 6 hours. After a day a boost keeps 1/16 of its points, so it buys about a day of visibility.
- New burns add to the current score, so a token people keep backing stays up.
- esALB stakers get a stronger boost (see the tiers below).
- Boosted placement is paid promotion and is labelled Boosted. Burns are final, with no refunds.
Buyback and Burn
By default half of what S4 collects in fees (launch, create, curve trading, graduation and drop fees) is set aside to buy ALB on Alien Base and burn it. The rest goes to the team treasury.
- Anyone can trigger a buyback. Each one spends at most 0.25 ETH, at most once every 30 minutes.
- The contract checks the price against a 30 minute average and refuses to fill more than 3% below it, which blocks sandwich attacks.
- The swap runs separately from launches and trades, so S4 keeps working whatever happens to the ALB pool.
- Buyback and burn is a treasury policy that can change through a timelock. It is not a payment to ALB holders.
esALB Staker Tiers
Your tier comes from esALB plus govALB (govALB counts 2x). Plain ALB does not count. esALB cannot be moved between wallets, so a tier cannot be borrowed with a flash loan.
| Tier | esALB weight | Fee discount | Boost | Perks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visitor | Under 10,000 | None | 1x | None |
| Scout | 10,000+ | 10% | 1.1x | Tier badge on your launches |
| Pilot | 100,000+ | 25% | 1.25x | Tier badge, Mothership Drop priority window |
| Commander | 1,000,000+ | 50% | 1.5x | Tier badge, Mothership Drop priority window, Featured slot rotation on the home page |
The discount applies to the Instant Pool launch fee, the Rocket Curve create fee and the Mothership Drop fee. Rocket Curve trade fees are not discounted. Staking and unstaking esALB happen on Alien Base, under Alien Base's rules: esALB docs.
Escrow for KOL Deals
Pay KOLs and contributors per milestone, with funds held by a contract on Base.
- The project funds the whole deal up front. Each milestone has its own amount and deadline.
- The KOL posts proof. Optional verifiers approve it, and after a review window anyone can release an approved payment.
- Either side can dispute one milestone. A platform arbiter can only split that milestone between the two of them.
- Fee: 2.5% of each released milestone, taken from the KOL payout. Refunds carry no fee.
Fees
| What | Fee | Contract cap |
|---|---|---|
| Instant Pool launch | 0.02 ETHdefault. Shown in your wallet before you sign. | 0.05 ETH |
| Rocket Curve create | 0.001 ETHdefault | 0.01 ETH |
| Rocket Curve trades | 1% of each curve buy and selldefault | 2% |
| Rocket Curve graduation | 2.5% of the raisedefault | 5% |
| Mothership Drop | 1% of a successful raisedefault. Nothing on a failed drop. | 3% |
| Trading on Alien Base | The Alien Base pool fee, paid to liquidity providers | No S4 fee |
| Escrow | 2.5% of each released milestone, from the KOL payoutdefault | 5% |
| Burn to Boost | No fee. The ALB you burn is the cost. |
- esALB staker discounts on launch, create and drop fees: 10% (Scout), 25% (Pilot), 50% (Commander).
- Fee changes need a public 2 day delay, and every launch sets a maximum fee, so a change can never hit a pending transaction.
- Gas is paid to the Base network, not to S4.
Beta defaults. The final fee schedule is published before mainnet.
Safety and Security
What the contracts can do, what they cannot do, and the risks that remain.
Not audited yet
The S4 launch, ALB and escrow contracts have been tested on a fork of Base mainnet against the real Alien Base contracts. They have not had an external audit yet, and an audit is required before mainnet. Keep amounts reasonable.
What the Contracts Can and Cannot Do
| Role | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Launchpad owner (a Safe multisig) | Change the launch fee (up to its cap) or the treasury, each after a public 2 day delay. | Touch locked LP, tokens, pools, pledges or user ETH. Pause launches. Change the router or the limits. |
| Treasury | Receive fees. | Anything else. |
| Creator | Launch, then withdraw the LP after unlock, extend the lock or hand it to another wallet. | Shorten a lock, mint, tax or freeze the token. |
| Token contract | Start the anti-sniper window once, inside the launch. | Anything after the launch. |
| Anyone | Send collected fees to the treasury, finalize a drop, trigger a buyback. | Choose where any of that money goes. |

Risks to Know
- Any token can go to zero. Only use funds you can afford to lose.
- Creator allocations and creator first buys are unlocked. The creator can sell them at any time.
- When a lock ends, the creator can withdraw the liquidity. Check the unlock date, or look for burned LP.
- On Rocket Curve, the creator first buy and early buyers can take a large share of the curve, and bots can buy in the first block.
- The anti-sniper cap is per address, so it slows bots but does not stop them.
- Pledgers who claim late in a Mothership Drop trade against the open market.
- Burned LP gives up its pool fees for good.
- The LP locker accepts any token. Only trust a lock that the token page links from the launch.
Before You Buy
- Open the token from s4labs.xyz or check the address on BaseScan. Copycat tokens can use the same name.
- Check the LP: burned, or locked until when.
- Check the holders on BaseScan for large creator or early wallets.
- Set a slippage limit you are comfortable with.
- Never sign a message or transaction you do not understand. Sign-in never asks for a transaction.

FAQ
What is S4 Launchpad?
A token launchpad on Base built for the Alien Base ecosystem. Every token it launches trades in a real Alien Base pool with locked or burned liquidity.
Which launch mode should I pick?
Instant Pool if you have ETH to seed the pool and want trading from the first block. Rocket Curve if you have no ETH to seed. Mothership Drop if you want a scheduled launch where everyone pays the same price.
How much does a launch cost?
Instant Pool: a launch fee of 0.02 ETH by default, plus the ETH you seed and gas. Rocket Curve: a create fee of 0.001 ETH by default, plus gas. Mothership Drop: only gas to schedule it. Your wallet shows the exact amount before you sign.
Can the creator pull the liquidity?
Only after the lock ends, and only if it was locked rather than burned. Locks last at least 30 days and can be extended but never shortened. Rocket Curve liquidity is always burned.
Is there a tax on buys or sells?
No. Transfer tax is none on every S4 token. Traders pay only the Alien Base pool fee.
What happens if a Rocket Curve never reaches its target?
The curve stays open. Holders can always sell back into it, so their ETH is never stuck.
What happens if a Mothership Drop misses its minimum?
The drop is marked failed, the supply is burned and every pledger can claim a full refund.
Why did my buy fail right after launch?
During the anti-sniper window each address can receive at most 0.5% of supply from the pool per block. Buy a smaller amount or wait a few blocks.
When do limit and stop orders work?
They come from Epsilon, the Alien Base order engine, and switch on once its API is live on Base. The order panel previews them until then.
Do I need ALB?
No. ALB is optional. Burning it boosts a token on the Trending board, and staking it as esALB lowers your launch fees.
Are the contracts audited?
Not yet. They are tested on a fork of Base mainnet, and an external audit is required before mainnet.
Is this the live product?
S4 Launchpad is in beta. Numbers marked demo data are examples, and some contracts show as deploying soon. Beta defaults. The final fee schedule is published before mainnet.
